Manchester United are reportedly looking to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been greatly struggling for game time at Old Trafford this season as he has managed to make only a single appearance in the English top-flight.
The Red Devils signed him in the summer of 2019 for an initial £45 million transfer fee. Since then, he has clocked up 127 appearances across all competitions, with two goals to his name.
The defender was a regular when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was at the helm of affairs. However, he lost his place under Ralf Rangnick last season and hasn’t regained it under Erik ten Hag.
Now according to Calciomercato, Wan-Bissaka has been offered to Serie A side AS Roma who are looking to sign a new right-back.
Rick Karsdorp is expected to leave the Stadio Olimpico in January and they want to sign a replacement for him.
No Future
Wan-Bissaka is a brilliant defender but he doesn’t offer much in attack, which is why Ten Hag prefers Diogo Dalot at right-back.
The 25-year-old was linked with a return to Crystal Palace in the summer but a move didn’t materialise. Now Roma are being mentioned as a possible destination for the English footballer.
United are said to prefer selling him permanently but they are also open to a loan deal.
Dalot has been brilliant at right-back and Wan Bissaka’s chances of regaining his position look very slim.
The Portuguese’s impressive club form also saw him included in Fernando Santos’ squad for the 2022 World Cup, as reported by ProvenQuality.
Since it is clear that Wan-Bissaka doesn’t have a future at Old Trafford, it looks best for the player as well as the club that he leaves the Manchester outfit.
