According to Sportbuzzer, the bosses at Bayern Munich are considering Niclas Füllkrug as an option for the striker position and had asked his Germany teammates about him, with feedback from the players being positive.
Füllkrug’s deal at Werder Bremen runs until 2025 but Bremen need the money, so a fee of €10m may be enough to tempt Ole Werner’s side into a sale.
Additionally, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s future at Bayern is uncertain as the club has a policy of only giving one-year contracts to players over 30 and the agents of Choupo-Moting would prefer a two to three-year deal elsewhere. Füllkrug also earns half as much money as Choupo-Moting.
This season Füllkrug is the highest-scoring German in the Bundesliga with 10 goals in 14 games for Bremen. His form earned him a call-up to the World Cup squad where he scored in the 1-1 draw with Spain to keep Germany’s hopes of qualifying alive.
