Liverpool will have no trouble replacing Salah and Mane

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have undoubtedly played a key role in re-establishing Liverpool as genuine contenders for silverware.

The pair now face an uncertain future at Anfield, with both players aiming to secure a significant hike on their current salaries.

However, as we highlighted a few days ago, the Reds would be well-advised to cash in on the dynamic duo this summer.

With that in mind, we look at four players who could be major Premier League transfers for Liverpool this summer.

Jarrod Bowen

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer of Bowen and it would be no surprise if he moved for the West Ham United winger this summer.

The 25-year-old has improved massively in recent seasons, but would probably take another huge leap forward under Klopp’s tutelage.

Bowen bagged 18 goals and 13 assists in 51 appearances for the Hammers last term – it’s fair to assume he would be more prolific in a better team.

Serge Gnabry

Gnabry has come a long way since his underwhelming spells with Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion at the start of his career.

He has established himself as a top-class performer with Bayern Munich and would be a quality addition to Liverpool’s attacking options.

With just one year left on his current contract, Gnabry could be a cost-effective replacement for Salah or Mane if either player leaves this summer.

Christian Pulisic

Pulisic was heralded as one of football’s ‘next big things’ when he joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund, but things have not gone to plan.

The 23-year-old was heavily linked with Liverpool before joining the Blues and a move to Merseyside could benefit all parties.

Liverpool’s owners may be enthused by securing the services of the United States’ football poster boy as they strive to grow the club’s profile across the Atlantic.

Raphinha

While the Leeds United star would be the most expensive option to replace Salah or Mane, he is the most exciting player on this list.

The 25-year-old has been a shining light for Leeds and perfectly fits the bill for Liverpool’s high-energy style under Klopp.

A swap deal involving Takumi Minamino is reportedly on the cards and would unquestionably be appealing to both Liverpool and Leeds.
