According to Bild, the loan contract of two VfB Stuttgart players could be terminated in the coming weeks. As per the report, Mateo Klimowicz (Arminia Bielefeld) and Ömer Beyaz (FC Magdeburg) have struggled for playing time and have failed to make an impression at their loan clubs.
For Klimowicz, he remained on the bench for the fifth game in a row as Bielefeld got a much-needed 3-1 victory against Magdeburg. For Beyaz, the youngster hasn’t been in the matchday squad for five games and is without a first-team game for 12 matches on the bounce.
Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat is annoyed at the situation: “I think they both have the qualities to play in Bielefeld and Magdeburg. You must have good teams there if both are not on the pitch.” Despite these comments, Arminia’s coach Daniel Scherning recently publicly criticized Klimowicz’s training performance.
Bild’s sources believe that both contracts could be terminated this week. Further developments at Stuttgart could see the appointment of a new head coach in the coming weeks. Michael Wimmer impressed during his interim spell following the dismissal of Pellegrino Matarazzo and is a candidate for the position full time.
