Tottenham manager Antonio Conte believes Harry Kane is ready for the World Cup and is “mentally stronger” ahead of the campaign. Kane has had a quietly impressive season to date for Spurs, scoring his 13th goal of the season against Leeds at the weekend in a seven goal thriller.
As reported in the Telegraph, Conte insisted Kane is ready for the World Cup “Now he’s arriving to play the World Cup with great enthusiasm, in a good physical condition and in my opinion he is mentally stronger than before. He feels a lot of responsibility because he’s the captain of England. I consider England to be one of the best teams in the world, one of the candidates to have an important tournament. For this reason, I know he wants to play an amazing tournament. I wish the best for him and for England, because Italy is not playing in the World Cup I can become a supporter of England!”
Kane will be hoping to lead England to another successful tournament ahead of Group B games against Iran, Wales and USA.
