Rangers fans may feel sacking Giovanni van Bronckhorst and handing Sean Dyche the reins ‘is a good way forward’ as there is ‘absolutely no reason why’ he cannot succeed at Ibrox, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Van Bronckhorst is days away from reaching his one-year anniversary in the hot seat, but there are doubts over his long-term future.

What’s the latest news involving van Bronckhorst?
Rangers lost further ground on arch-rivals Celtic when they suffered a 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone on Sunday.
The Gers are now seven points adrift of their Glasgow neighbours in the race for the Scottish Premiership title and, as a result, the pressure has gone up a notch on van Bronckhorst.
Rangers’ latest blow comes after a woeful European campaign saw them finish with the worst-ever Champions League group stage record, having lost all six fixtures and registered a goal difference of -20.
Although van Bronckhorst has recently revealed he will not fret over his future, he has admitted he hopes he will never go through the experience of being sacked.
Former Scotland international striker Frank McAvennie has claimed Dyche would be a ‘perfect’ replacement if the Dutchman were to be axed by the Rangers hierarchy.

What has Dean Jones said about Dyche?
Jones believes Dyche would be a success in the Scottish top flight, having gained a vast amount of experience south of the border.
The journalist feels a proportion of the fanbase would be pleased to see the 51-year-old succeed van Bronckhorst.
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “There’s absolutely no reason why he wouldn’t be able to do that in the Scottish Premiership too.
“I can see why some fans might think that is a good way forward and I’d be really interested to see it.”
Would Dyche be a good appointment?
Dyche has been out of work since his sacking at Burnley in April, so Rangers would not have to part with a compensation fee in order to lure him to Ibrox.
During his decade-long stint at Turf Moor, he led the Clarets to 152 wins in 425 fixtures, which is no mean feat.
Dyche also averages 4.16 years in the job and that will be a huge plus point from the Rangers decision-makers’ point of view as they need longevity.
While admitting he has been labelled as a manager whose sides play direct football, he has insisted he will not settle for less than a hard-working squad and that will be attractive to the Gers as they are going through a tough period.
