Crystal Palace have to find a way to pay Aaron Wan-Bissaka‘s wages if they want to sign the Manchester United defender, says transfer insider Dean Jones.
The former Palace player has been linked with a return to Selhurst Park, but Jones thinks his salary could be an issue.

What is the latest news involving Wan-Bissaka?
According to The Sun, United are willing to let Wan-Bissaka move back to Palace on loan.
The 24-year-old right-back, who joined the Red Devils from the Eagles in a £50m deal back in 2019 (via BBC Sport), has seen very little action this season.
In total, he has made just one appearance under Erik ten Hag, which is partly down to injury.
However, even when fit, Ten Hag has gone with Diogo Dalot, showing that Wan-Bissaka is not a key player for the Dutchman right now.
What has Jones said about Wan-Bissaka to Palace?
Jones can see why Palace would target Wan-Bissaka; however, he doubts they will be able to pay the player’s £100,000-a-week wages without help from his current club.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “I can understand why they would now start to explore this, but they’re going to have to find a way to pay his wages, Crystal Palace, and there might have to be an agreement they find with United.”
Will Wan-Bissaka leave United in January?
It certainly seems like a possibility, as he is not really getting a look-in under Ten Hag.
Wan-Bissaka is still a really good defender, though, so Palace or another club could end up doing a great piece of business.
As per FBref, the United man has ranked in the 94th percentile for tackles, the 99th for interceptions, the 94th for blocks and the 92nd for clearances among full-backs over the last year.
In short, he is someone who is great at winning the ball back and thwarting attacks. However, it looks like Ten Hag wants more than that after snubbing the former Palace player this season.
Considering that, a move elsewhere now appears to be in his best interest, and Selhurst Park is not a bad destination.
Patrick Vieira’s men are doing pretty well in the Premier League right now, currently sitting in the top half of the table, while Palace are a club Wan-Bissaka obviously knows well.
Ultimately, joining them on loan makes a lot of sense, but it looks like his wages could be a potential barrier.
