Reported by Kicker, Amine Harit has joined Olympique Marseille on a permanent transfer from Schalke for €5 million. This came after the Ligue 1 side activated a clause in the loan agreement during their 1-0 win against Olympique Lyon which triggered the permanent signing.
Harit has played 15 games for Marseille this season, scoring once and assisting four times. Last season saw Harit play 34 games for Marseille, scoring five and assisting four in all competitions.
The Moroccan joined Schalke in 2017 from Nantes for €8m. He would win Rookie of the Season in his first year with the Königsblauen which was rewarded with a contract renewal and an increased salary. With Schalke’s relegation, Harit’s salary became a problem for the club which saw him move to the south of France originally on loan.
Harit leaves Schalke playing 113 games, scoring 13 times for the club over his five-year tenure.
