Diego Simeone has spoken in an interview with DIRECTV Argentina. The Atlético Madrid manager explained what will happen the day he no longer feels he has the same strength to continue at the club. “When you are identified with something for so long, it’s because you have passion. If not, you wouldn’t do it. The day this dies down, I’m going to step aside because I don’t know how to give only 50%. It’s all or nothing,” he said in quotes transcribed by Marca.
On whether there is an end to the cycle
When asked if he has reached the end of his time in the Atlético dugout, the Argentine coach said: “You always end up reading something, it’s a lie that you don’t read anything. I always believe that you have to give everything until the end”.
Atlético went crashing out of the Champions League in midweek and will look to return to winning ways when they play Espanyol in La Liga on Sunday.
