Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Manuel Neuer will be back in goal against Hertha BSC tomorrow “if training goes well today”.
Neuer has missed Bayern’s last seven competitive games with a shoulder injury, but is now approaching his return.
“‘Manu’ Neuer will play if the team training goes well today. I assume so, but we will wait and see how the shoulder reacts,” said Nagelsmann.
Leroy Sané and Lucas Hernandez will be back in the squad, but are not ready to start yet.
“They will probably come on from the bench,” noted Nagelsmann.
Thomas Müller and Matthojs de Ligt, on the other hand, remain sidelined.
“Matthijs’ knee reacted badly again yesterday. Thomas can hopefully return next week. Otherwise, we’ve got no other absentees,” said Nagelsmann.
