Manchester United have looked at Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams in the past but are unlikely to sign him now, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
The 23-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but Jones cannot see it happening.

What is the latest news involving Adams?
Adams only joined Leeds during the summer after the Yorkshire club agreed a £20m deal with RB Leipzig (via BBC Sport) to sign the American; however, there is already talk about him leaving Elland Road.
Football Insider recently claimed that Manchester United are keeping close tabs on the former Leipzig star as they look to bring in a new midfielder.
Adams has been a key player for Jesse Marsch this season, so he is not someone the 48-year-old will want to lose.
Since arriving at Elland Road, the USA international has played in practically all of Leeds’ games.

What has Jones said about Adams and Manchester United?
Jones doubts Manchester United will sign Adams despite considering the Leeds star in the past.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “I just can’t see it happening. I mean, United have had him on their radar before, but I think the moment’s gone.”

Should Manchester United sign Adams?
If Manchester United are to start competing for the Premier League title again, then they probably need to sign players who are a level above Adams.
When it comes to midfielders, the Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and West Ham’s Declan Rice.
According to The Athletic, the Manchester club are one side who are interested in Bellingham. Elsewhere, the Mail on Sunday has claimed before that Rice is someone who they want to add to their squad and build around.
Bellingham is easily one of the best young players in the world right now, while Rice is an excellent defensive midfielder.
Last season, the 23-year-old made 2.2 tackles per league game, which was the second-highest average in West Ham’s squad (via WhoScored). Ultimately, Manchester United should be focusing on the likes of Bellingham and Rice.
The above does not mean Adams is not good enough to play at Old Trafford or would be a bad signing. But with where the Red Devils are trying to get to under Erik ten Hag, you cannot help but feel that they need to aim a little bit higher than the Leeds midfielder.
