BVB center-back Nico Schlotterbeck recently shared his feelings about the controversial upcoming World Cup.

Joining many football fans around the globe, Nico Schlotterbeck is not a fan of the 2022 World Cup. Speaking with ZDF following Dortmund’s win over Frankfurt, Schlotterbeck commented:
“Everyone knows the World Cup doesn’t belong in Qatar and we all know the World Cup belongs in summer and not in winter also. Despite that I’ll give everything for Germany if I’m out there on the pitch.”
He was then asked whether Hansi Flick should take Mario Götze to Qatar. Schlotterbeck emphatically responded with a, “Yes.”
