Bayern are off to Robert Lewandowski’s new home on Wednesday, looking to seal Barcelona’s fate and send them back to the Europa League.

The Bundesliga table is starting to return to its usual self, with Bayern inching towards the top once again after a pretty easy win over the weekend against Hoffenheim.
Although the Bavarian club have already sealed their spot in the Champions League round of 16, their attention has quickly turned towards this away to trip to Barcelona for obvious reasons.

With a Bayern win (or Inter Milan’s victory over Viktoria Plzen), Robert Lewandowski & co. will be forced to pack their bags for a second straight Europa League berth. This would be quite the feeling for Bayern and their supporters.

Bayern last lost to the Spanish giants in the 2014/15 Champions League semi-finals and are looking nearly unstoppable at the moment. While some fans are concerned with Sadio Mane’s form in front of goal, the record champions have more than enough offensive firepower to hold their own.

Striker Eric Choupo-Moting has been especially superb, as he discussed his impressive form of late: “There’s no real secret. I throw everything into every training session, I train well. I trust my qualities and the qualities of the team, it’s great that everything is going well.”

Xavi’s side are missing Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Sergi Roberto and Memphis Depay, while Gavi should be fit.

Manuel Neuer, Lucas Hernandez, Bouna Sarr and Leroy Sane are definitely out for Bayern. Kingsley Coman and Thomas Müller will both make the trip to Barcelona.
