Tottenham will be monitoring Anthony Gordon’s contract talks at Goodison Park, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The English winger was thought to be a target for the north London club during the summer, and O’Rourke thinks he is still on their radar.

What is the latest news involving Gordon?
The Sun recently claimed that Everton and Gordon, who scored against Crystal Palace over the weekend, are in discussions about a new contract.
However, according to the same outlet, those talks have stalled. The report states that Gordon’s camp are looking for a £100,000-a-week deal after the Toffees slapped a £60m price tag on the 21-year-old in the previous transfer window.
Chelsea wanted to sign Gordon but could not reach an agreement with their Premier League rivals in the end.
Tottenham and Newcastle United had also been linked with the England U21 international.

What has O’Rourke said about Gordon and Tottenham?
O’Rourke does not think Tottenham, Chelsea or Newcastle have given up on Gordon just yet.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “Those clubs, I’m sure they will be monitoring Gordon’s contract talks right now, and I’m sure Everton would love to sort out his contract and secure his long-term future at Goodison Park.”

Should Tottenham sign Gordon?
Gordon certainly has a lot of good qualities. Speaking about him earlier this year, Newcastle legend Alan Shearer said: “I’ve personally been impressed by his fearless attitude.
“He’s not afraid to get stuck in and he tries to make things happen going forward, putting plenty of crosses into the box.”
£60m is a lot of money, though, especially for a player who is probably not going to be a starter at Tottenham.
Antonio Conte already has Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski for the wide positions, while Gordon’s former Everton team-mate Richarlison is also an option for the Italian.
While he has not played too often this season, there is Lucas Moura, too. Looking at Spurs’ current crop of attackers, then, it is hard to make a case for them needing Gordon. Simply put, you do not get the impression that he needs to be a priority at Hotspur Way right now.
Conte, however, may beg to differ, with the Tottenham boss recently stating that he needs more transfer windows to take his side to the next level.
“I spoke about the transfer market, that we needed more transfer markets to reach a good level. We know this,” the 53-year-old was quoted as saying by talkSPORT.
