Real Madrid will travel south-east on Wednesday evening to take on Elche and try to build on their Clasico win over Barcelona at the weekend.
Carlo Ancelotti‘s side moved to the top of the LaLiga Santander table when they beat Barcelona 3-1 thanks to goals from newly-crowned Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema and from Fede Valverde and Rodrygo.

Facing bottom of the table side Elche could be the perfect fixture for Real Madrid to maintain or even build on the three-point gap that they have over Barcelona.

Pedro Bigas should be back for Elche despite the injury he suffered against Valencia, whilst Lucas Boye is set to return from suspension. Gerard Gumbau will also return to the squad having missed last weekend due to the birth of his child.
As for Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois is injured so Andriy Lunin could start his sixth game in a row. The likes of Marco Asensio and Eduardo Camavinga could both be rotated into the starting XI by Ancelotti.
