Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is keen to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium and will not wait to see whether his stock rises at the World Cup, according to journalist Paul Brown.
The Gunners spent close to £120million during the summer transfer window, but Saka has remained a key man for Mikel Arteta’s side.

What’s the latest news involving Saka?
According to Football Insider, Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle with Saka over a new long-term contract.
The report suggests the 20-cap England international is set to pen a five-year deal worth close to £200,000-per-week, meaning he will pocket up to £52million over the course of the agreement.
It was reported last month that Arsenal are pushing hard to tie Saka down to fresh terms amid interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid and reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.
The winger has also revealed that he is confident a new contract will be signed in the not-too-distant future.
Saka’s current agreement, which is worth £33,000-per-week, is due to expire in the summer of 2024 and Arsenal are desperate to see their academy graduate – who has made 144 senior appearances – commit his long-term future to the club.

What has Paul Brown said about Saka?
Brown understands that Saka is content at Arsenal and not interested in snubbing a new Arsenal contract in favour of more money elsewhere.
The journalist believes the 21-year-old wants to sign on the dotted line ahead of the World Cup getting underway in Qatar next month.
Brown told GIVEMESPORT: “From what I’m told, when it comes to Saka, all sides seem perfectly happy at the moment and he’s not going to hold out.
“It seems to be something that shouldn’t really be a problem and he’s not chasing the money.
“He doesn’t seem to want to wait for the World Cup to see if something better comes around or he makes himself an even bigger star. I don’t think there’s much fear really, from Arsenal, that could happen.”
How has Saka performed so far this season?
Saka has been in fine goalscoring form in recent weeks, having followed up a brace in the victory over Liverpool with match-winners against Bodo/Glimt and Leeds United.
He has also played a key role in Arsenal’s impressive start to the Premier League season by finding the back of the net four times and registering as many assists in 10 top flight appearances.
Saka has been the Gunners’ second best performer since the campaign got underway, with Gabriel Jesus being the only team-mate to boast a better average match rating, so it is clear the north Londoners need to tie him down to a new deal as soon as possible.
