Manchester United need to sign a reliable striker like Harry Kane or Gabriel Jesus, says journalist Dean Jones.
The Tottenham and Arsenal stars have been two of the best forwards in the Premier League this season, and Jones thinks United have lacked what the north London clubs currently have.

How have Kane and Jesus performed in the current campaign?
As already mentioned, Kane and Jesus are two of the most in-form strikers in the English top flight right now.
Kane continues to have no problem with finding the back of the net, scoring in Tottenham’s recent 2-0 Premier League win against Everton.
As for Jesus, he has also been deadly in front of goal this season following his £45m move (via BBC Sport) from Manchester City during the summer.
The Brazilian, of course, punished Kane’s Tottenham side in the north London derby earlier this month after scoring for his team in a 3-1 win at the Emirates.

What has Jones said about Kane, Jesus and United?
Jones thinks United need to sign someone like Kane or Jesus in order to keep up with their rivals.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “Look at the teams that they’re going to be competing with in the division. United want to put themselves up against Arsenal and Tottenham and teams like that in the league.
“Well, Arsenal have got Gabriel Jesus up there every game; Tottenham have got Harry Kane up there every game. Who’s Man United’s man that’s there every game? There’s not a reliable figure and they have to be able to compete in that sense.”

Who could become a reliable talisman for Erik ten Hag this season?
Cristiano Ronaldo, it is that simple. The Portugal international is obviously a proven goalscorer and reminded everyone what he is capable of after grabbing the winner against Everton last weekend.
For whatever reason, though, Ten Hag has been reluctant at times to start Ronaldo, who has been excluded from his manager’s first XI on multiple occasions this term.
Ultimately, there is no doubt that Ronaldo has the ability to be a reliable goalscorer for United in the current campaign, just like Kane and Jesus have been for Tottenham and Arsenal respectively.
But with there being talk about him potentially leaving Old Trafford in January after failing to secure a move during the summer, it looks like the former Juventus and Real Madrid star is not going to be United’s talisman this season.
