Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka expressed frustration with Bayern’s lack of ruthlessness after tonight’s draw with Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern München captain Manuel Neuer and midfielder Leon Goretzka were self-critical after tonight’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund, which saw the German champions throw away a two-goal lead.
Asked about the reasons for not winning tonight’s game, Neuer told Sky Germany (via @iMiaSanMia):
“It certainly was due to us and not to Borussia Dortmund. We should have closed the game earlier, we had the chances to do so. The final touch was missing. Mistakes happen in football, but there have been too many lately.”
Leon Goretzka, who scored the opener, spoke in a similar vein.
“It’s difficult to put it into words. It annoys and upsets us,” said the midfielder.
“We played a good game but lacked determination to finish our chances and take home the win. That’s been happening to us way too often lately.”
