The Belgian’s lack of playing time seems to suggest a departure from the Saxony-based outfit is inevitable.

If Johan Bakayoko’s situation doesn’t fundamentally change at RB Leipzig, then he’s a candidate for departure in the winter.
As Sky Germany understands, Leipzig is open to a sale of the Belgian winger starting from a few of €11-12 million upwards.
But a loan in the winter is more realistic due to the market given Bakayoko’s base salary in the low single-digit million range.
It can, however, increase significantly through performance-related bonuses but that doesn’t appear to be expected any time soon.
The pay-TV channel notes how Bakayoko missed out on a major bonus free in the previous season due to too little playing time.
Since joining from PSV Eindhoven for €18million in July 2025, the 23-year-old has made just 26 appearances in all competitions.
