Jorge Sampaoli will arrive in Sevilla today before officially becoming the club’s new head coach, according to Relevo.
The Argentinian, who managed Sevilla during the 2016-17 season, will replace Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked on Wednesday night. Sampaoli is expected to lead training this afternoon.
The Andalusian side are currently 17th in La Liga. Lopetegui’s last game in charge of the club came in the 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Sevilla’s next league game is against the in-form Athletic Club.
