As reported by Christian Falk, there is a “strong possibility” that Leon Goretzka joins Arsenal this summer from Bayern Munich.
The midfielder confirmed that he would leave Bayern this summer when his contract runs out at the end of June.
Goretzka’s departure will bring to an end a successful eight years at the club, where he played a key role in winning six Bundesliga titles (it will be seven by the end of the year) and, most importantly, the sextuple in 2020.
A Move to the Premier League?
As Goretzka weighs up his options, he is now also allowed to freely talk to other clubs.
The 31-year-old reportedly prefers a move to the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur showing an interest in recent weeks.
However, the German international would also want to join a club that can guarantee Champions League football – a clearly massive boost for Arsenal in comparison to their city rivals.
With this in mind, should Arsenal provide a concrete offer to Goretzka’s team, there is a high possibility that the midfielder joins them ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Elsewhere, both Bayer Leverkusen and Inter have registered an interest but are currently not hot topics for Goreztka.
