Antoine Kombouaré is set to replace Stéphane Gilli in the dugout at Paris FC, as per a report from Le Parisien.
Paris FC drew against Toulouse FC on Saturday night. It leaves Les Parisiens winless since 18th January, although since then they have only lost once in Ligue 1, and there have been four draws in that time, including one against Olympique de Marseille.
Kombouaré’s arrival to be confirmed on Monday
But the newly-promoted side have opted for a managerial change, with fears of relegation persisting. The players were informed of the decisions following the draw against TFC (1-1). Kombouaré has garnered a reputation as a firefighter manager.
Once the manager of local rivals Paris Saint-Germain, he has been out of work since leaving Nantes at the end of last season. However, he emerged as the No.1 choice to replace Gilli. The decision is expected to be made official on Monday, Le Parisien understands.
