Speaking to the press just over 48 hours before the clash with RC Strasbourg Alsace (Sunday, 8:45 p.m.), Olympique Lyonnais coach Paulo Fonseca gave his assessment of his team’s current form.
Having suffered a sprained right ankle at the end of January, Nicolás Tagliafico (33) will indeed be part of the Lyon squad for the trip to La Meinau. The same goes for Endrick (19), who is back from suspension after his sending-off against FC Nantes (0-1) two weeks ago, and Ruben Kluivert (24), sidelined for nearly a month, who has finally been deemed fit to return to action.
“They are ready for Strasbourg, but also ready to start,” Fonseca assured.
However, this will not be the case for Afonso Moreira (20), who was already absent against OGC Nice (2-0) last week and is not fit enough for the upcoming match, Hans Hateboer (32), suffering from a knee injury, and Orel Mangala (27), still struggling to regain his full physical potential. Ernest Nuamah (22) and Malick Fofana (20), who have been out for a long time, are expected to resume team training in the coming weeks.
