After needing time to adapt to a new league and country, Jobe Bellingham has started the last eight games for Borussia Dortmund across all competitions.
Head coach Niko Kovač is impressed with the progress the 20-year-old has made since joining from Sunderland last summer.
“He is physically much fitter than he was in the summer. He acts much faster now. He is a complete professional,” Kovač said about Bellingham at a press conference on Thursday.
“You can see that he plays more or less every minute at the moment. He certainly still has room to grow, but I am very satisfied with his current level.”
With Marcel Sabitzer back from injury, competition for midfield spots has increased, but Bellingham remains in contention to start when Dortmund travel to face RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
