Tottenham Hotspur confirmed Igor Tudor as their new head coach and there is a busy fixture ahead over the next few weeks
Igor Tudor will have a busy fixture list ahead of him after being confirmed as Tottenham Hotspur’s new head coach. Spurs announced that Tudor has taken charge on an interim basis until the end of the season following Thomas Frank’s departure.
Frank’s last match in charge of Tottenham was the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League in midweek.
It’s understood by football.london that Tudor will be considered for the Tottenham manager’s job on a permanent basis if the second half of the season proves to be a success.
Spurs were not in FA Cup action this weekend, which gave the club the opportunity to appoint a new manager, with Tudor expected to take charge of training when the players return on Monday.

Spurs will then face an away trip to Fulham in the Premier League on March 1, before hosting Crystal Palace in the top flight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a few days later on March 5.
With the FA Cup fifth round taking centre stage on the weekend of March 7/8, Tottenham’s next match will be on either March 10 or 11, when they will have the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, with their opponents yet to be confirmed.
Spurs will then be back in Premier League action on March 15 when they will travel to face reigning champions Liverpool.
“It is an honour to join this club at an important moment,” Tudor said after being confirmed as the new Tottenham head coach.
“I understand the responsibility I have been handed and my focus is clear. To bring greater consistency to our performances and compete with conviction in every match.
“There is strong quality in this playing squad, and my job is to organise it, energise it and improve our results quickly.”
Tottenham sporting director Johan Lange went on to explain why the club decided to name Tudor as the club’s new boss.
“Igor brings clarity, intensity and experience of stepping into challenging moments and producing impact.
“Our objective is straightforward – to stabilise performances, maximise the quality within the squad and compete strongly in the Premier League and Champions League.”
