Tottenham Hold Talks With AC Milan Star Christian Pulisic, Pochettino Loves Him

Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with AC Milan star Christian Pulisic about a potential move this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

Spurs have had a poor season so far in the Premier League and currently sit 16th in the table, five points above the relegation zone, which saw manager Thomas Frank sacked earlier this week, with ex-Juventus boss Igor Tudor expected to take over until the end of the season on an interim basis.

But the board are already planning ahead for the summer, both on the pitch and in the dugout, and it has now emerged that talks have been held with intermediaries over a potential addition to their forward line.

Pulisic has been an integral member of the AC Milan team in recent seasons, since joining from Chelsea in 2023, which has seen the American labelled as ‘world-class’.

The former Dortmund star was understood to be expecting formal talks to be opened by the Serie A side about a new contract, but those talks have not taken place yet and as a result, he is now exploring options for his next club just in case.

His representatives, via intermediaries, have opened talks with a number of Premier League clubs about making a return to England, and it’s believed that Spurs are the club to have made their interest the most concrete in the 27-year-old.

Pulisic, who also represents the USMNT, enjoyed his time in London and believes he has unfinished business in the Premier League, which could encourage him to return. It’s also worth nothing that he holds an excellent relationship with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who is the current manager of the national team, and he has been strongly linked with a return to north London this summer to become Frank’s permanent replacement.

That makes for an intriguing situation to keep an eye on, although Milan currently remain adamant that they will open talks over a new deal before the season ends, and they expect to agree terms to extend his stay in Italy.

Pulisic to Spurs Makes a Lot of Sense

Pulisic’s record in Italy has been excellent, with 42 goals in 120 appearances over two-and-a-half years, and that could be enough to convince Spurs that this is the right move for them.

Despite the injury concerns he has had in the past, Tottenham are desperate to add a natural left-winger to the squad, and Pulisic offers that, plus experience at the very highest level, and also a great relationship with the man who is deemed to be the top target to be their next manager.

There are a lot of hypotheticals in place at the moment, but this is something to keep a close eye on over the coming months.
