Wolverhampton Wanderers recently sacked their manager Bruno Lage after he failed to lead the Midlands side to a good Premier League start this season.
Now several names are being linked with the Molineux job, including Portuguese football expert Pedro Martins.
The 52-year-old was most recently the manager of Olympiacos, which he joined in 2018.
He led the Greek side to three league titles in four seasons but was dismissed from his position in August after a 4-0 defeat to Maccabi Haifa in a Champions League qualifier.
The former Sporting Lisbon could soon return to management as the Express and Star are reporting that Wolves are considering a move for him.
It is also said that Martins is keen to take over the Premier League club who are looking to sign a replacement for Lage.
He is reportedly familiar with several members of the Wanderers squad and also has connections to the Molineux board.
However, Wolves are also said to be considering some other names. Ruben Amorim is reportedly a candidate for the important job as well as Julen Lopetegui.
Amorim is at the helm of affairs at Sporting, where he won the 2020-21 Primeira Liga in his first full season. While Lopetegui is currently on the brink of getting sacked at Sevilla, despite leading them to Europa League success in 2020.
The West Midlands side are currently in the relegation zone after suffering a disappointing 2-0 defeat at West Ham United.
However, they spent heavily in the summer transfer window and currently have some of the best players in their squad.
Any manager would love to take over a side boasting the likes of Ruben Neves, Goncalo Guedes, Adama Traore, Pedro Neto and Joao Moutinho in their squad.
