Napoli are close to signing Brighton and Hove Albion defender Leo Ostigard this summer.
Marco Giordano has reported about the Partenopei’s interest in signing the ex-Genoa man, claiming that Cristiano Guintoli is close to sealing the deal for the defender. The move, as things stand, is expected to go through in the next few days.
Napoli will pay Brighton 4 million to sign the Norwegian and that is because the player’s contract at the English club runs out in the summer of 2023. Personal terms have also been agreed, with the player expected to earn 800k per week on a four or five-year deal. The report goes on to describe the move as being a real ‘bargain’ for the Partenopei, who are seeing Axel Tuanzebe return to Manchester United following an underwhelming loan spell.
Ostigard had impressed in his loan spell at Genoa despite Alexander Blessin’s side getting relegated to Serie B.
