Oliver Glasner has ruled Mario Götze out for their Champions League tie against Tottenham with an ankle injury suffered against Union Berlin.

After being removed from Frankfurt’s 2-0 win over Union Berlin on Matchday 8, Mario Götze is now out against Tottenham due to an ankle issue. Manager Oliver Glasner confirmed that “He wouldn’t be 100%”, making one believe the veteran could be fit in time to face Bochum this weekend.
With Götze out, Djibril Sow will likely move into the starting lineup on Tuesday, while Kristijan Jakic could make his return to the pitch after recovering from a hip injury.
Glasner stated that, “For me, (Tottenham) remain favorites in the group. – Maybe we stick with the back three. But actually a 4-3-3 is my favorite option against a 3-4-3 like Tottenham play. Like Arsenal did against them in the league just now.”
