According to a report from The Athletic, Jean-Philippe Mateta (28) has been given permission to travel to Italy to complete a medical ahead of completing his move to AC Milan from Crystal Palace. The Serie A club appear to have won the race for the French international forward’s services.
The Milanese club were not the only team interested in signing the 28-year-old forward. Nottingham Forest also submitted an offer to sign the former Lyon striker. However, the Frenchman always favoured a move to the Serie A club. AC Milan have reached an agreement with the Premier League club on a fee of £30m.
