Stade Rennes’ Albert Grønbæk is expected to move to Hamburger SV, according to reports from Sky Germany.
A full agreement has supposedly been reached with the Ligue 1 side after his medical was completed on Thursday.
The 24-year-old will represent the Hanseatic club until the end of the season with an option to buy included for the winger.
Grønbæk spent the first half of the season on loan at Genoa who had an obligation to buy him if performance-related conditions were met.
Thankfully for Hamburg’s sake, the attacker only featured on four occasions in the Serie A without a goal contribution to his name.
Florian Plettenberg is aware that to Grønbæk’s goal is to be a regular starter at HSV and make the World Cup via the play-offs with Denmark.
