FC Barcelona are back in La Liga action with a trip to Alicante to take on Elche on Saturday.
The Blaugrana booked their bye to the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League with a top-eight finish after a 4-1 win over FC Copenhagen on Matchday 8 of the competition on Wednesday.
On the domestic front, Barca still sit atop the La Liga standings with a one-point lead over
Real Madrid. The Catalans defeated Real Oviedo 3-0 at home last weekend, thanks to three second-half strikes.
Elche, meanwhile, are currently in 11th place in the table, with five wins, nine draws and seven losses through 21 games. They’re winless in their last five in all competitions, however, most recently losing 3-2 to Levante.
Barcelona were 3-1 winners in the reverse fixture between the two sides back in early November, with Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford finding the scoresheet.
