In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your team ahead of Matchday 20.
As a rule of thumb, we’ll try to steer clear of the most obvious picks, instead focusing mainly on players who could offer great value as differentials.
Dimitrios Giannoulis, Augsburg (Defender, 5.51M, 4%)
Fresh off a sensational 2-1 win over Bayern Munich, Augsburg head into a highly favourable fixture run against St. Pauli, Mainz and Wolfsburg. Priced at just 5.51M, Giannoulis has delivered two goals and three assists so far in the league and has been one of Augsburg’s standout Fantasy performers this season.
Bernardo, Hoffenheim (Defender, 9.66M, 12%)
Hoffenheim have won every game since the turn of the year and will be confident of extending that run at home to Union Berlin. Bernardo has averaged an outstanding 241 points per game over his last five outings, never dropping below 167 in that span. However, with a game against Bayern Munich coming up next week, you may want to sell him again after the weekend.
Nico Schlotterbeck, Borussia Dortmund (Defender, 19.1M, 37%)
Averaging 300 points across his last five matches, Schlotterbeck is close to a must-have pick at the back at the moment. Dortmund’s upcoming home fixture against Heidenheim only strengthens his appeal.
Ezechiel Banzuzi, RB Leipzig (Midfielder, 1M, 1%)
With Christoph Baumgartner suspended, Banzuzi is likely to be handed a rare start in central midfield for Leipzig’s favourable home match against Mainz. At the minimum price of 1M and playing for one of the league’s top sides, he’s a low-risk enabler with upside.
Linton Maina, 1. FC Köln (Midfielder, 1.55M, 0%)
Another budget-friendly midfield option, Maina has produced a goal and an assist over his last three appearances. If he starts on Friday night, the winger could prove to be a great differential at a low price.
Julian Brandt, Borussia Dortmund (Midfielder, 13.32M, 4%)
After playing just eight minutes across Dortmund’s last two matches, Brandt looks likely to be rotated into the starting eleven for a very appealing home fixture against Heidenheim. For managers willing to take the gamble, the attacking midfielder offers significant upside, having already scored five goals and provided two assists in the league this season.
Alexis Claude-Maurice, Augsburg (Midfielder, 14.4M, 7%)
Claude-Maurice is enjoying a purple patch, having delivered 200+ Fantasy returns in five consecutive matches. With Augsburg approaching a great schedule, the midfielder looks like a strong option.
Ragnar Ache, 1. FC Köln (Striker, 4.6M, 1%)
Ache showcased his explosive potential on Matchday 18 with a massive 457-point haul. At just 4.6M, he stands out as one of the most appealing budget forwards available this week.
Yan Diomande, RB Leipzig (Striker, 12.4M, 35%)
Having picked up seamlessly where he left off following his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, Diomande is very hard to ignore, particularly considering that Leipzig have appealing fixtures against Mainz, Köln and Wolfsburg coming up.
Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim (Striker, 13.74M, 5%)
The definition of a boom-or-bust Fantasy asset, Kramaric picked up a whopping 573 points against Gladbach on Matchday 17, but has been quiet since. Still, with Hoffenheim in form and hosting Union Berlin, the Croatian offers massive upside for those willing to take a bit of a risk.
