Paris FC look all set to complete the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion defender Diego Coppola (22), according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian defender has featured sparingly for the Premier League club this season, having joined in the summer in an €11m deal from Hellas Verona. In all competitions, he has played just nine games, and so a move away from the AMEX Stadium was always on the cards this month.
Paris FC have been eager to strengthen their defence as they look to give themselves breathing room in the fight against relegation to Ligue 2. However, Les Parisiens have been cautious in the transfer window, despite their new owners’ wealth.
The French club have prioritised loan deals and that is the form in which Coppola is set to arrive at the Stade Jean Bouin. As per Romano, a deal has been agreed between the two clubs and he has now been authorised to travel to France to undergo his medical.
