The financial details of Barcelona starlet Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain have come to the fore on Monday evening.
This comes fresh off confirmation arriving that the 18-year-old has indeed brought a close to his time as a Blaugrana player.
After recently informing those in a position of power in Catalunya’s capital of his intention to depart, Dro and his entourage were contacted by Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain.
Negotiations between the parties quickly gave rise to an agreement on the terms of a contract.
All that was left, in turn, was for PSG to pay the value of the release clause in the young midfielder’s contract.
In an effort to maintain their strong relationship with the Barcelona brass, though, those behind the scenes at the Parc des Princes agreed to fork over an increased sum.
And the value of as much has on Monday night been revealed.
As per a report from Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero, the Spanish champions will receive €8.2 million from Dro’s sale.
