If the French defender is signed by Chelsea, the door could potentially open for Anselmino to return to BVB despite only just being recalled from loan.

Earlier this afternoon it was confirmed that Chelsea’s Aaron Anselmino had been recalled from his loan at Borussia Dortmund abruptly.
The Westphalians are now missing a key player – however, it’s now being reported that there appears to be a loophole for a swift return.
Sky Germany’s sources suggests Anselmino’s future could also be linked to that of Stade Rennes defender Jérémy Jacquet.
Chelsea are trying to sign the 20-year-old, but the Ligue 1 club are currently blocking the move, hence Anselmino’s hasty return.
Jacquet’s price would likely drop in the summer due to his shorter remaining contract, so Rennes could be keen to sell this January.
If the Frenchman’s transfer goes through, it would at least be financially justifiable for the London club to let Anselmino go.
A highly hypothetical scenario, but not entirely out of the question that the Argentine could return to BVB if Jacquet is signed by Chelsea.
