According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Matias Fernandez-Pardo (20) is set to stay at Lille during the winter transfer window. The Belgian forward had attracted the interest of Atlético Madrid, but a move in January now appears to be unlikely, with the La Liga club now turning their focuses to signing a midfielder following the departure of Conor Gallagher to Tottenham.
Whilst a move in the immediate future looks unlikely, the striker isn’t short of potential suitors ahead of a move in the summer transfer window. Premier League clubs including Newcastle United, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are all admirers of the 20-year-old. However, it is believed that the Les Dogues attacker favours a move to Spain.
Lille set lofty pricetag for Fernandez-Pardo
The Ligue 1 club are unwilling to let one of their key attackers leave in the winter window following Hamza Igamane’s long-term injury. To deter interested clubs, the French outfit have set an asking price of €40m for Fernandez-Pardo.
