Nottingham Forest have intensified their pursuit of Napoli left-back Mathias Olivera, with the Premier League side making in-depth enquiries regarding the Uruguayan’s availability.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, there is a concrete possibility that the 1997-born defender could depart Naples during the current transfer window. Olivera is seeking more consistent playing time, and Forest could soon present a significant official offer to test Napoli’s resolve.
Beyond their defensive targets, the English club remain active in their search for a new striker and continues to push for Lorenzo Lucca. While Forest have already come forward for the Italian international, Lucca has asked for more time before making a final decision on his future.
The towering forward is currently weighing his options, with a return to Pisa also a serious possibility. Despite Forest’s continued insistence on bringing him to the Premier League, Lucca is considering the move back to Tuscany as a way to find guaranteed continuity and serenity for the second half of the season.
