Tiago Tomás has suffered a new injury setback, VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß confirmed at a press conference on Thursday.
“Tiago has muscle issues. There’s a small structural problem, so he will not be available for now,” Hoeneß revealed.
It’s not the first time the winger has struggled with that area this season.
“Since it’s the same spot, we will proceed more cautiously. It has to heal properly,” added Hoeneß.
“It will be weeks before he is available again.”
On a positive note for Stuttgart, Ermedin Demirović is fit and available again after a lengthy injury break.
“Ermedin is feeling good and played 45 minutes in the friendly. He’s physically fit, though he hasn’t played for four months. Nevertheless, he’s immediately an option for me and is just important for us,” said Hoeneß.
