20 Highest-Earning Darts Players [2025]

Who are the highest-earners in darts this year? We’re nearing the climax of the darts season, with the World Darts Championship fast approaching next month, so players are jostling for position in the rankings, and hoping to finish strong. But, with just one tournament left in the calendar year, that bodes the question, who has earned the most thus far?

This list is calculated from ranking events ONLY, and does not account for earnings in the Premier League or non-ranking events, so that’s why you may be shocked to not see a certain Michael van Gerwen feature.

Nevertheless, however, here are the 20 highest-earners in the calendar year following the conclusion of the Players Championship Finals.

Stephen Bunting

It has been some 2025 for ‘The Bullet’, completing his first season in the Premier League line-up since 2015. Despite some struggles in the weekly format, the fan-favourite was in hot form in the ranking events, claiming two Players Championships, two World Series of Darts, and two European Tour titles.

He became only the third man in history to do this, and alongside Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler, he is in good company.

9

Nathan Aspinall

£285,000

Nathan Aspinall

After a tough 2024, which Aspinall branded “lousy”, his run in the World Championship was the catalyst for an improved 2025. The world number 15 claimed his first ever European Tour title, defeating Ryan Joyce 8-4 in Germany, before winning his second just three months later after besting Damon Heta 8-6 to win the European Darts Open.

Aspinall was defeated in yesterday’s final by his good friend Littler, but reflected that he was happy just to be back in the top 16.

8

Josh Rock

£286,000

Josh Rock

Rock’s 2025 has been just as solid as his name suggests, with frequent deep runs into ranking events. Rock won his fifth PDC title of his career, defeating Cameron Menzies 8-4 in the Players Championship Ten in Leicester, before claiming a surprise victory in the World Cup of Darts for Northern Ireland alongside Daryl Gurney, beating the Welsh partnership of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton in the final.

7

Danny Noppert

£299,000

Danny Noppert

Noppert has had a steady 2025, but will be disappointed to have no titles under his belt. The world number six was last victorious in April 2024, when he defeated Luke Humphries to claim the Hungarian Darts Trophy. He came close to winning the trophy in back-to-back years, but was defeated 8-7 in a last-leg decider by Niko Springer.

6

Jonny Clayton

£315,000

Jonny Clayton

Clayton has missed a chunk of World Series events this year, choosing to prioritise family, but his form has not wavered. He has two 2025 titles under his belt with victories in the Players Championship 14 against Dominik Grullich and the Dutch Darts Championship over Niko Springer. The Welshman is in a strong position for a return to the Premier League next season.

5

James Wade

£325,000

James Wade

At 42 years old, James Wade has by no means finished competing at the highest level in darts. He claimed victory in the Players Championship 19, defeating Scott Williams, and this form propelled him to a major final the following month, but he was thwarted by Littler 18-13. It’s the World Championship Wade is chasing, as despite a long list of accolades, the absence of the biggest title of all has always been a blip on his CV.

4

Gerwyn Price

£327,500

It has been a 2025 to remember for Price, and he looks nearly back to the force of old. The Welshman has scooped four Players Championship titles, alongside victories in the Poland Darts Masters and the Baltic Sea Darts Open. His quarter-final appearance in the World Championship may have been the saving grace of his season after his Premier League spot appeared in jeopardy. ‘The Iceman’ has since rediscovered his fighting spirit, and his boisterous celebrations.

3

Gian van Veen

£336,000

Gian van Veen

Van Veen has become one of the most promising talents in darts. He became a major winner this year at just 23 years old, after beating then-world number one Luke Humphries in a dramatic last-leg decider to claim the European Championship. The Dutchman has catapulted up the world rankings, and most recently retained the World Youth Championship, establishing himself as the strongest youngster in the sport, bar a certain Luke Littler.

2

Luke Humphries

£422,500

After a shock defeat to Peter Wright in his World Championship title defence, “Cool Hand” has steadied the ship, winning the World Masters a month later, defeating Jonny Clayton 6-5. His rivalry with Littler continues to thrill, with Humphries besting his opponent to win the Premier League, before Littler got one back in the Grand Slam of Darts final, also stealing the world number one title in the process. This ended a run of 22 months as world number one for Humphries.

1

Luke Littler

£854,500

The “Nuke” has unsurprisingly decimated nearly all in his path, and continues to reach new heights after becoming world number one this month. He kicked off his season by beating Michael van Gerwen to claim the World Championship in just his second attempt. To which he added five more major titles in the UK Open, the World Matchplay, the World Grand Prix, the Grand Slam, and yesterday’s Players Championship Finals to his list of accolades.

The European Championship and World Masters are the only majors remaining for the phenomenon to become the first in history to complete the full sweep.
