Bundestrainer Hansi Flick won’t have striker Lukas Nmecha available for Monday’s Nations League fixture after the VfL Wolfsburg forward departed the DFB camp with “knee issues”.
In other German national team news, it looks as if two new defenders will start against England on Monday in Flick’s back-four.
Flick will definitely be employing some changes against England on Monday in his side’s final significant exhibition fixture prior to the coming World Cup. Center halve Antonio Rüdiger will be unavailable due to accumulated yellow suspension.
Flick also made no secret of the fact that, despite previous success with Glabbach’s Jonas Hofmann in the right fullback position, he was very dissatisfied with how the deployment worked in the most recent match.
