Lorenzo Insigne’s agent confirms interest from Lazio

The transfer saga linking Lorenzo Insigne to Lazio has received public confirmation from the player’s representative.

Speaking on Radio Kiss Kiss, the agent, Andrea D’Amico, acknowledged the Biancocelesti’s appreciation for the winger, an update reported by Alfredo Pedullà. D’Amico admitted the operation is something they have been working on for a prolonged period, though he cautioned that the current market conditions present difficulties.

The agent explicitly confirmed the basis of Lazio’s interest in the former Napoli captain: “Insigne, for his characteristics, is liked by Lazio. The problem is the blocked market. Let’s see what happens.”

D’Amico revealed that the talks are not new, adding, “It’s something we’ve been working on for some time, but there are also other situations in play.”

While he teased, “We’re almost there, but I won’t give you any big news,” D’Amico stressed that making deals in January is always difficult and requires players who can make an immediate impact. He also commented on Insigne’s quality, saying the player “deserves to play at high levels.”

D’Amico concluded by noting the value an experienced player provides, contrasting it with the focus on young talent: “A 34-year-old player is also useful for optimizing and valorizing the players you ha1ve in the squad.”
