Sacha Boey started five consecutive Bundesliga games for Bayern Munich but with the return of Josip Stanišić, Germany’s record champions have opened the door for the Frenchman’s departure in the January transfer window should they receive a suitable offer for the defender, per Sport Bild’s “Bayern Insider” Podcast.
The 25-year-old joined Bayern from Galatasaray in January 2024 for €30m, but has managed just 37 appearances across all competitions – should a departure come to fruition, then it’s unlikely that the Bavarian club will recoup what they paid.
And with the return to fitness of Stanišić and Konrad Laimer providing valuable competition at both right-and-left-back, Boey will likely see his playing time diminish with Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito also nearing a return.
Speaking in October, Bayern’s Max Eberl made it no secret that Boey would have been sold in the summer had they received an interesting offer: “We would have considered it if something had happened,” said Eberl.”
Marseille are one club that have shown an interest in signing Boey previously.
