Bayern Munich are trying all they can to extend Dayot Upamecano’s contract beyond the end of the season.
However, with clubs such as Real Madrid, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain said to be interested in picking up the Frenchman on a free transfer, it remains unclear if he will end up staying with the German champions.
In an interview with L’Equipe, Upamecano admitted he’s flattered by the reported interest in him from other clubs, but also made it clear that he feels comfortable at Bayern.
“I’m under contract at Bayern. I feel honoured when clubs are interested in me,” Upamecano said.
“I have a good agent. We will make the right decision. I’m focused on this season and my goals with the club and the national team.
“I’ve always said that I feel comfortable at Bayern. I have a great coach and fantastic teammates,” he said.
Upamecano joined FC Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2021.
