Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and almost every top European club has placed 1.FC Köln’s Said El Mala on their radar.
Köln are dreaming of a record transfer fee of over €50million, despite their wishes to keep the exceptional talent beyond next summer.
However, perhaps the attention of Europe’s footballing elite will be captivated by the SC Angers talent dubbed ‘the French El Mala’.
The Ligue 1 club shares a similar view to Köln with El Mala regarding teenage sensation Sidiki Chérif’s future, per Fußball Transfers’s report.
The 18-year-old supposedly possesses similar qualities to El Mala, impressing with his excellent dribbling skills and powerful finishing.
Chérif has already scored three league goals this season, mirroring El Mala’s tally and contractually bound to Angers until 2028.
So, like Köln in the El Mala case, the French club holds the cards despite initial offers from bigger clubs expected in the coming months.
The report suggests that clubs like Bayern and Dortmund could be in the hunt for the French talent as they keep tabs on his progress.
