A number of Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on the development of Barcelona youngster Tommy Marqués.
That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who has on Thursday provided an insight into the future of the midfielder.
Youngster Tommy, for those not aware, has all of a sudden emerged as a prominent figure in Barcelona.
This comes after the 19-year-old was afforded a first-ever call-up to senior training at the Ciutat Esportiva.
On the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park following the injury suffered by engine room standout Pedri, Hansi Flick drafted Tommy into his setup on Thursday morning.
Tommy has for his part spent the early weeks of the new season thoroughly impressing on the books of Barca Atlètic.
And such performances have evidently not gone unnoticed across the pond.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano, ‘Premier League clubs have been monitoring Marqués for months’.
It is also noted, though, that Barcelona have full trust in Tommy’s talents, with a move away from Catalunya’s capital therefore considered highly unlikely any time soon.
