West Ham United have confirmed that French midfielder Mohamdou Kanté (20) has extended his contract with the East London club. The 20-year-old signed for the Hammers from Paris FC during the summer transfer window of 2024.
Kanté’s new contract at the London Stadium is set to last until the end of 2031. After joining the Premier League club, the midfielder instantly returned to the French capital on loan with Paris FC until the end of the season. He helped the newly-promoted club secure promotion to Ligue 1 for the first time in 46 years. The Frenchman has now returned to the English capital and began playing for West Ham U21s.
He has impressed since playing for the Hammers’ youth side. Kanté has made 8 appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals and registering 2 assists. The midfielder will now be looking to make his way into the first team after extending his contract.
