Latest Premier League Injuries and Team News

The 2025/2026 Premier League season is already shaping up to be one of the most action-packed in recent memory, with titanic clashes at the bottom and the top of the table happening every week. Already this campaign, however, we have seen a number of players go down with significant injuries, and despite the rise in the quality of sports science and medicine, teams have been unable to keep their star players fit.

From ACL injuries to the likes of Chelsea’s Levi Colwill, to Tottenham having to do without two of their most creative players in James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, a number of big-name stars are set to be missing for a considerable amount of time. But those two clubs aren’t the only ones to have been hit by the injury curse this season.

Below is a look at every Premier League club’s current injury issues and the players’ expected return dates.

Arsenal

Arsenal striker Kai Havertz

Arsenal have once again had a season troubled by injuries, and they remain without a number of players who are out for an extended period of time. Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are long-term absentees after suffering major injuries last season, while Noni Madueke is expected to be out for the next few weeks due to a knee issue too.

Martin Odegaard then became another latest injury victim in the Gunners’ clash against West Ham, and it was confirmed the Norwegian had suffered an MCL injury. And ahead of the club’s clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that centre-back and key man Gabriel had suffered an issue and hadn’t been able to train yet.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa midfielder Amadou Onana celebrating

After a difficult summer transfer window that saw the club’s PSR concerns come back to bite them, Unai Emery has had yet more misfortune with Aston Villa come the start of the Premier League season. Youri Tielemans continues to remain out and looks set to be unavailable until after the November international break, while full-backs Andres Garcia and Lucas Digne are both injury concerns for Emery too.

Bournemouth

Enes Unal

After a summer that saw a number of key players depart – including the likes of Dean Huijsen and Dango Ouattara – Bournemouth have tried to rebuild under Andoni Iraola, and have picked up some impressive results, not least a victory against Tottenham. Injuries wise, Enes Unal remains out following an ACL injury picked up at the beginning of the year, while both David Brooks and Evanilson missed the clash against Crystal Palace and are set to be out for a couple of weeks at least.

Keith Andrews has seemingly gotten into his groove as Brentford boss, first picking up a notable 2-2 draw against Chelsea, before compounding Ruben Amorim’s misery by defeating his Manchester United side 3-1 at home. On the injury front, the Bees are doing well, with only issues surrounding the duo of Aaron Hickey and Antoni Milambo. The latter, it was confirmed, had suffered an ACL injury and has already undergone season-ending surgery.

Brighton and Hove Albion

One of the most well-run clubs in the Premier League, Brighton have a couple of long-term absentees in their ranks. Both Adam Webster and Solly March suffered knee injuries that have kept them out of the new campaign thus far, while Jack Hinshelwood is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines too. The latter was taken off in the first half of the side’s clash against Bournemouth after injuring his ankle ligaments.

Kaoru Mitoma and Joel Veltman also joined the Brighton injury list, with the former missing Japan’s fixtures during the international break. Similarly, Brajan Gruda withdrew from the Germany U21 squad with a knee injury, while Diego Gomez became the latest man to join the treatment table after being taken off against Newcastle in the 2-1 win due to a hip injury. The young Paraguayan however looks set to return for the clash against Manchester United.

Amdouni

One of the Premier League’s new boys for the season, Scott Parker has had to contend with a couple of key players being out with lengthy injuries. Reports in July revealed that Zeki Amdouni had undergone surgery on an ACL injury, while Jordan Beyer and Connor Roberts have been unable to get onto the pitch themselves this season. Lyle Foster missed the clash against Leeds United at home, but should return soon following his dead leg that caused him to miss South Africa’s international fixtures.

Chelsea

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill in action

After a summer in which Chelsea lifted the FIFA Club World Cup, Enzo Maresca’s side have struggled with some significant injuries across the pitch, leaving them exposed in some key areas. Their defence has taken a massive hit in recent weeks, leaving Maresca with no option but to play some unproven options at the back, including teenage starlet Josh Acheampong who scored his first ever goal in the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest. The sooner the Blues can recover these players however, the better.

Perhaps the biggest blow though, is the news confirmed by Maresca that Cole Palmer is set to be ruled out for another at least another month, meaning that he won’t be back until mid-November.

Crystal Palace

Cheick Doucoure

One of the most impressive teams in the Premier League right now, Crystal Palace’s defeat of Liverpool was fully deserved and a real testament to the incredible work Oliver Glasner has done. The Eagles are still without the midfield presence of Cheick Doucoure, while Caleb Kporha has remained out for a while too. Chadi Riad, meanwhile, will be hoping to make his return sooner rather than later.

Everton

Jarrad Branthwaite in action for Everton

Everton boss David Moyes will be desperate for the return of Jarrad Branthwaite, who has proven to be a vital performer for the club and a superb partner for James Tarkowski at the back. The defender is back in training after two months out with a hamstring injury, but will be hoping to pick up some match fitness. Nathan Patterson, meanwhile, picked up a foot injury while playing for the club’s U21s, and missed the match against Manchester City as a result.

Fulham

Rodrigo Muniz in action for Fulham

Marco Silva now has a number of injury concerns following the 1-0 defeat at home to Arsenal. The Fulham boss saw both Joachim Andersen and Tom Cairney forced off mid-way through the game, with the former sustaining a hamstring injury and the latter suffering a back problem. Aside from that, the Cottagers also have issues surrounding the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Sasa Lukic, Rodrigo Muniz and Antonee Robinson.
