A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could be in line for a return to starting duties this weekend.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Ronald Araújo as the player in question.
Stopper Araújo has for his part been forced to make do with a place on the bench for each of Barcelona’s two fixtures since the international break.
Despite notching the winning goal as a makeshift centre-forward against Girona last weekend, the Uruguayan was still not entrusted from the off in a Champions League clash with Olympiacos on Tuesday night.
As alluded to above, though, this weekend, the situation could change…
As per a report from Sport:
‘Flick is seriously considering the idea of him (Araújo) starting in El Clásico.’
Barcelona’s headmaster, it is understood, considers Araújo’s physical capabilities a potentially crucial factor in keeping star Real Madrid duo Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé quiet.
