The 1 Superstar Fans Want WWE to Push

Following on from a drama-filled Monday Night Raw, where a notable highlight of the show saw Jey Uso secure his place opposite CM Punk, with the pair set to battle it out for the world title at Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE fans have let their disgruntled voices be heard on social media.

Jey won the Battle Royal that included his brother Jimmy, who the victor ultimately threw out of the ring along with Dominik Mysterio to confirm his place in the title fight following on from Seth Rollins’ legitimate arm injury that led to him vacating the strap earlier in the night.

Despite a defined outcome that is set to decide a new world champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event, backlash and an outroar of frustration has ensued, with one Superstar in particular the focus of attention, who fans feel has received one snub too many.

WWE Fans Unhappy With Treatment of One Superstar

LA Knight has been the subject of heavy support from the WWE Universe and has grown into a fan-favourite over the past few years. Along the way, he’s teamed up with some high-profile names, the likes of John Cena, for example, not to mention becoming a two-time United States champion, but he’s never quite received the singles push in the main event picture that the fans are clamouring for.

The WWE Universe feel Knight is yet to be truly given the chance to show what he is capable of on the biggest stage and competing for the biggest titles, while Rollins’ absence presented an opportunity that fans felt was perfect for Knight, and deserved.

Some felt optimistic beforehand that this would be Knight’s moment, while some afterwards bemoaned the missed opportunity to book an enticing match-up between Knight and Punk, the latter of which said he hoped the former would emerge from the Battle Royal as his opponent.

The bulk of the criticism, in fact, has been headed towards Triple H and the decision to give Jey Uso a second opportunity. The former world champion initially lost out to Punk last week in a number one contender match for the vacant title, but the decision for him to win the Battle Royal on Raw has left fans questioning when Knight is going to get his shot… if ever!

Knight’s popularity, if anything, has grown even stronger since he was seemingly looked past once more. The former United States champion at one stage was trending in the top 10 on X in the immediate aftermath of the events that took place on Monday, which some saw as a positive sign that much of the WWE Universe are on the same page: Knight deserves his chance.
